Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings (baked not fried)
These wings are so easy to make and super tasty. These wings are not fried they are baked but still have the crispy and delicious. Baking powder may seem like a strange ingredient to use for chicken wings but that’s what makes the wings crispy without frying.
Ingredients
Chicken wings
1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of baking powder
¼ cup of sriracha (or hot sauce of your choice)
2 inches of ginger
¼ cup of honey
¼ cup of soy sauce
Optional
Spring onions
Method
Mix the salt, pepper, baking powder, paprika and garlic powder.
Pour the mix over the chicken and stir until all the chicken is coated in the seasoning
Put the chicken in the oven and bake for 30mins at 180 degrees, at 15mins take the wings out and turn them over
For the sauce
In a big bowel mix the honey, soy sauce, sriracha and grate the ginger in the bowl and mix well.
When the chicken is done baking put the wings in a large bowl and pour over the sauce and mix until all the chicken is coated in the sauce
Put the wings on a large plate and top with chopped spring onions
