Pineapple Orange and Banana Smoothie
Pineapples are rich in a mineral called manganese, and it’s this mineral that gives pineapple its energising property. Pineapple is also rich in bromelian and Vitamin C which are both compounds that boost the immune system and promote digestive health.
Oranges are also rich in vitamin C. In addition, oranges are a good source of B vitamins including vitamin B1, pantothenic acid and folate as well as vitamin A, calcium, copper and potassium.
Bananas are rich in fibre and potassium so they will give you energy, and using ripe bananas will provide natural sweetness to this smoothie.
Almond milk is prepared from almonds which are low in fat, but high in energy, proteins, lipids and fibre. It contains minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, and zinc.
Ingredients
2 oranges
¼ of a small pineapple
2 ripe bananas
1 cup of almond milk
Method
Cut the fruit into small chunks and add to a blender with the almond milk
Blend all the ingredients until smooth
Serve with ice and enjoy
