Breakfast berry smoothie

Berries, such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, goji berries, blackberries, boysenberries, cranberries are some of nature’s natural medicines. They can help to fight off illness, they can keep your mind sharp, their jam packed with antioxidants, and high in fibre they can help promote healthy digestive system. They can help to maintain healthy bones and lower blood pressure and they can help with management of diabetes, and heart diseases. Berries are something that everyone should try and eat regularly. I’m lucky that it's summer and in the UK it's berry season, so there berries everywhere and they're so cheap I love it. What I do in the summer time is buy loads of berries and put them in containers in the freezer, so that I can enjoy them even when they're out of season. This is a recipe for a super simple berry smoothie that’s perfect to have for breakfast, it's easy to make and super delicious.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Blueberries

  • ½ cup of strawberries

  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt

  • ¼ cup of oats

  • ½ almond milk

Method

Put all the ingredients into a blender, blend until smooth and enjoy.
